1 (Fyrstr)

Alls engi maðr skylde þar kono hafa innan borgar.
Absolutely no women within the forts or compounds.

2 (Annarr)

Engi skylde á braut vera þaðan 3 nóttum lengr or borginne.
No member of the war band is to be away for more than 3 days.

3 (Þriði)

Þángat skyldi engi maðr ráðast til föruneytis við Pálnatóka, sá er ellri væri enn fimmtugr at aldri, ok engi ýngri, enn 18 vetra gamall; þar á meðal skyldu allir vera at aldrinom.
No member who is older than 50 years or younger than 18 years can join the war band and all men must be between these ages; Kinship is irrelevant when considering age limits.

4 (Fjórði)

Alls engi maðr skyldi sá þar vera, er rynne fyrir jafnvígligum manni, sér jafnbúnom.
No one is to disengage from another man who is his equal in bravery and arming.

5 (Fimti)

Engi maðr skyldi þar œðroorð mæla né kvíða, hvegi óvænt sem þeim hyrfðe.
No one is to show or speak any fear, no matter how desperate the situation.

6 (Sétti)

Hverr maðr, er þángat réðsk í þeirra föruneyti, skyldi því heita fastliga, at hverr þeirra skylde hefna annars, sem mötunauts síns, eða bróður síns.
Each member of the Jómsvíkingar war band shall avenge any other member of the war band as if he were his brother or partner no matter the circumstances.

7 (Sjaundi)

Ekki skylde því ráða frændsime eða vinfengi, þóat menn vildi þángat ráðast.
No one is to start a quarrel with any other member of the war band.

8 (Áttundi)

Engi hlut skylde þann atbera með þeim innan borgar.
No information about the war band shall be disclosed.

9 (Níundi)

Allt þat, er þeir fingi í herförum, þá skylde til stánga bera meira hlut ok minna, ok allt þat er fémætt væri, ok ef þat reyndist á hendr nokkorum, at eigi hefði svá gert, þá skylde hann í braut fara or borginne, hvárt sem til hans kœmi meira eða minna.
All the goods and proceeds of raids, expeditions, missions and operations, whatever their value, may it be big or small, shall be accounted for, and brought to the war band compounds, for assessment, and to be shared with the members of the war band.
